Is Lefkada the most beautiful island in Greece?

The name means Goat’s Port. This is because, in the past, only goats could reach this beach by climbing the rock wall.

Porto Katsiki is a beach located in a unique landscape, at the base of a concave rock that surrounds the beach on the shore making the beach inaccessible from land. A staircase was built for this. But the best way to get to the beach and admire the beauty of this beach is by boat.

2015 earthquake washed away the beach’s end and changed the amazing viewing point.
Where is located Porto Katsiki Beach?
Porto Katsiki Beach is located southwest of Lefkada. It is about 40km from Lefkada’s capital city and 15km from Vasiliki.
Are there hotels, restaurants, or parking near Porto Katsiki Beach?
There are hotels near the beach but not very close, the closest being 3 km away, Porto Katsiki Blu. I think it’s better to stay in a more popular area like Vasiliki and go to the beach either by boat or car.
Camping is prohibited.
There are parking lots and canteens where you can buy food or drinks. These are located on the top of the cliff.
Buy drinks and food before going down to the beach, because even if there are about 100 steps, going up and down at the temperature of 40 degrees can be difficult.
It is possible to order food on the beach from the canteen but check with the staff before going down.
How can you reach Porto Katsiki Beach?
The best way to get to Porto Katsiki Beach is by boat from Vasiliki (15-20E) or Nidri (20-25E).
There is also a stairway down to the beach from the cliff-top parking.
During the day, boats bring tourists to the beach.
What kind of beach is Porto Katsiki?
The beach is covered with sand and stones.
Get your aqua shoes for this beach. This will help you avoid any problems because of the stones.
By the middle of the day, a larger part of the beach is under the shadow of the cliff in the back, while a parasol is necessary after midday.
The waves are common, they could be large, and there are no lifeguards!!
