The 6th Gate is the gate through which King Ferdinand and Queen Maria entered the Citadel when they were crowned, in 1922.
The 6th Gate
The 6th Gate is on the west side of the Alba Carolina Citadel.
The 6th Gate is the gate through which King Ferdinand and Queen Maria entered the Citadel, when they first visited Alba Iulia, in 1919. Also through gate VI, they entered when they were crowned, in 1922.
The gate is simple with two pillars on one side and on the other above which are placed some stone cannonballs.
