Almos 800 pieces weighing 6 tons, part of the Romanian Treasury, were transported to Madrid on August 29, 2021, to be exhibited in a temporary exhibition at the Archaeological Museum in Madrid.

Visiting schedule and tickets

The exhibition will be open between October 1, 2021 and February 27, 2022.

Tuesday – Saturday: 9:30 – 20:00
Sunday and public holidays: 9:30 – 15:00

The entry is free.

Amazing artifacts from Romanian treasure

The Geto-Dacian gold helmet discovered in Cotofenesti, in Prahova, a unique piece in the world, made of almost 1 kg heavy solid gold, will be the star of the archeological exhibition organized by the Ministry of Culture together with the Spanish partners.

Other invaluable artifacts, such as royal 13 Dacian bracelets from Sarmizegetusa weighing between 500 grams and a kilogram and a half.

Pieces from the Pietroasa and Apahida, complete the Daco-Roman heritage that Romania sent to Madrid.

The treasury items are estimated at 60 million euros.
