St. Stephen Statue

St. Stephen Statue stands on top of Castle Hill near the Fisherman’s Bastion

King Stephen united the Magyar tribes and established Christianity in the country at the beginning of the 11th century.

From the place near the statue, you will see spectacular views of the Danube river and Pest.

The pedestal is almost 5.4 m tall and is covered with reliefs-scenes from King Stephen’s life.
